Open Weekend: 18th & 19th May

Our second Open Weekend of the year is almost upon us. All concerned are working hard to ensure that our site is at its best for May 18th and 19th. 

Fortunately the grounds have dried out following the heavy rain during the Easter opening and we are hoping for much better weather this time around.  

Today, a fire has been lit in the Boiler in preparation for applying warming steam on Friday, the Gas Engine ran for an hour or so last week, and maintenance activities on the Beam Engine have been completed. So, all being well, our two historic engines should be up and running next weekend to the satisfaction of both old and new friends alike.

We are looking forward to having a very enjoyable weekend.
